Restaurant Ordering Platform
URBAN TADKA's own place to order online, near Tama Plaza station. Customers order straight from the restaurant, not through a delivery app, and collect points every time.

Most people now order food through delivery apps, and those apps keep a big cut of every order. Calling the restaurant is slow, and someone has to stay by the phone to take it.

Customers search the menu, filter it, start from the best sellers and see their points right on the home screen. They choose takeout or delivery and pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPay or cash.

Every visit of ¥1,000 or more earns a stamp, and every fifth stamp gets a free lassi or naan. In the shop, customers show their QR code at the counter, so they collect points whether they order online or eat in, and the points can only be spent here.

Staff create a discount code, choose who can use it, from one regular to everyone, and limit it to once per customer. The offer pops up for the customer, ready to use on their next order.

Active orders, today's orders and today's revenue sit at the top, with a revenue chart by day, week or month and the best-selling dishes beside it. When the kitchen is full, one switch pauses new orders.
Orders land on the staff dashboard and are accepted with a tap, so the restaurant no longer needs a person just to take calls and write down orders.
Delivery apps take a large share of every order. Orders placed on the restaurant's own site skip that commission, and customers get 15% off for ordering direct.
Points are only spent at Urban Tadka, so when a customer gets hungry they come back here, instead of trying another Indian restaurant.
Stack, architecture and how it is built.
The Next.js app runs on Cloudflare Workers through OpenNext. A separate Worker sits in front of the D1 database and only answers token-signed queries, so the site never holds database credentials. It was moved over from Supabase.
Cart, checkout and live order tracking for takeout and delivery. Delivery is checked against the restaurant's postcodes, and payment works by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPay or cash.
A bilingual admin panel with revenue and popular-item charts, orders, deliveries, bookings, inventory and customers. Staff scan a customer's loyalty QR at the counter, and can pause ordering or close time slots in an emergency.
